For a while, every reel I made took hours. Picking fonts, fixing spacing, finding the perfect transition.
And when it didn't do well, my first thought was always: it didn't look good enough.
But the reels that actually did well weren't the prettiest ones. They were the ones where I had something clear to say.
I think the design was a safe place to spend my time. If I polished the visuals, I didn't have to face the scarier question: is my idea any good?
So now I try to write the idea down in one sentence before I open any design tool. If I can't, the reel isn't ready. It doesn't need more design. It needs more thinking.
