I started learning AI partly because I was scared of being left behind.
I expected it to do the work for me. It didn't. It does exactly what you ask, and it turns out I often didn't know what to ask.
When I gave it a vague idea, I got something generic back. When I knew what I wanted, it was incredibly useful.
This website is a good example. The AI tools helped me build it, but deciding that I wanted a character who looks at you, in these colours, saying these things, was all me.
So I don't think AI replaces having ideas. It raises the bar for them.
